Triphala is an ayurvedic herbal formulation comprising the three fruits (also known as three myrobalans) in equal proportion. Triphala is used in the form of powder (Triphala churna), tablets and extract capsules.

Triphala contains diverse biological compounds. It mainly consists of tannins, Gallic Acid, Chebulagic Acid, and Chebulinic Acid. The Vitamin C content in Triphala is also quite high. Vitamin C content and Chebulagic Acid in the Triphala exert potent antioxidant effects.
